The first #fittech meetup takes place at the Burda Bootcamp – two sports & fitness startups will share their experience.
Let's kick off the first #fittech meetup in Germany! We will have two fittech startups who will tell us about their products and learnings:
1) Core plant: Kernwerk is a new alternative to Freeletics. It features functional workout combined with data in web and app interfaces.
2) Evalu: Evalu develops sports sensors for running and is launching its first product in April 2017.
SPEAKERS:
Florian Petri, CEO Kernwerk
“Motivation beats everything – How to launch a fitness app in a saturated market.”
Due to his job as project manager, Florian has been part of the world of online technologies for more than 10 years. Being a completely unathletic guy, he discovered his love for CrossFit in 2011 and founded a local sports group for working out together. However, he could not find a single sports app that provides sustainable functional training. In 2016 he had the idea to create a functional training app that adjusts to the athlete's needs at all fitness levels – KERNWERK was born.
Javier Poveda-Panter, evalu
“Creating a tech startup based on the passion of running”
Javier pursued his high school degree with a specialization in engineering and management and later studied business administration and engineering. Being tech-savvy was topped only by his passion for running, fitness and health. Looking to combine this passion with a professional career, Javier met the founders of evalu. What started as student trainee job later turned into bulding his own department to ensure customer-centric development practices. In April 2017, evalu is hitting the market with it's first pruduct to help aspiring runners to achieve their goals.
