On behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA), AZO manages the ESA Business Incubation Center (BIC) Bavaria – one of the most successful incubation programs involving the commercial use of space technologies and infrastructures.
ESA BIC Bavaria already supported more than 130 startups with an annual turnover of around EUR 150 Mio, creating more than 1,800 high-tech jobs and involving the exciting amount of more than EUR 130 Mio Venture Capital in 2016/17.
Coordinated by ESA's Technology Transfer Programme, the ESA BICs work to inspire entrepreneurs to turn space-connected business ideas into commercial companies while providing technical expertise and business development support.
