We are looking for innovative, next-generation software and hardware solutions that will intelligently network our home appliances, make them autonomous and self-monitoring, and enable users to digitally operate and control them, while fulfilling the following criteria:
- Innovative, new ways for users to operate household appliances
- Cost-saving solutions for chemical analysis (gases, liquids, solids)
- Networked sensors and cloud-based data analysis
- Assistance systems for household appliances that make the user's life easier
- New use cases for smart home appliances
New Food
In this area, we are looking for innovative solutions that revolutionize the way food, beverages and nutrients are produced, distributed, prepared and consumed, such as:
- Cultivation, breeding and cultivation in your own home
- “Functional Food” – foods that provide additional benefits in addition to their basic nutritional value
- Application of new technologies in the food sector along the entire value chain
- New approaches to food preparation at home
Innovative home appliance solutions for customer needs in developing countries
Within this search field, we look for solutions that provide answers to the challenges in developing countries:
- Fulfilling basic or previously unmet customer needs (e.g. safe food, access to clean drinking water,…)
- Improving living conditions in emerging countries – increasing living standards, providing additional comfort, or providing additional value-added solutions
- Use of available technologies or basic technologies
- Business models and market entry solutions tailored to the specific characteristics of specific developing countries
The BSH Venture Forum is a two-day event taking place on October 12 and 13, 2016, in Munich.
On the first day, all participating startups will receive an individual briefing on potential synergies, the group of participants for the following day, and feedback on their company presentation. The day concludes with a get-together with BSH representatives, providing an opportunity for informal discussions and networking. The second day is the official presentation day with one-on-one meetings with BSH decision-makers. The official conference language is English.
