Art & Tech Talk #2 with Mathis Nitschke: “New musical experiences through new technologies”

Mathis Nitschke is an artist who works across disciplines. He combines his studies of classical guitar, visual arts, and music composition with theater and opera, and, for several years now, coding. In collaboration with artists from a wide range of disciplines, Nitschke strives to give contemporary musical theater a new face.

Many of Nitschke's artistic works reflect the processes of creating and listening to music. In his musical compositions and productions, he often begins with improvised or semi-improvised performances by real-life musicians, capturing not only their sounds but also their personalities. He enjoys experimental processing and is a pioneer of new technologies.
