The food start-up Planet A Foods uses the most innovative preparation processes to develop sustainable, future-proof food ingredients that can be produced independently of highly limited resources such as cocoa, palm oil or land. The company relies exclusively on natural ingredients. As a supplier, Planet A Foods contributes to a socially just and environmentally friendly food industry. The start-up's portfolio includes the world's first cocoa-free chocolate ChoViva, which is made from regional oats and sunflower seeds and has a carbon footprint that is up to 90% lower than that of conventional chocolate.
Planet A Foods was founded in 2021 and employs around 50 people. The company is headquartered in Planegg near Munich and produces in Pilsen, Czech Republic. In 2023, the company launched its first products on supermarket shelves in Germany with partners Peter Kölln and Griesson- de Beukelaer.
