HopfON
Entry last updated on November 14, 2023

The construction industry is responsible for 40 % of global CO2 emissions, 50 % of global resource consumption and 40 % of global waste generation. At the same time, only about 20 % of the annual hop harvest is used for beer production, while the rest is disposed of as waste. To reduce the environmental footprint of these two industries, HopfON was launched.

Our vision is to develop circular building materials from hop harvesting waste. With innovative building materials, we want to make a contribution to a more sustainable construction industry and a future worth living.
