Ndgit cooperates with Swiss insurance group Baloise

The open finance platform of the Munich-based startup Ndgit will serve as the basis for the open insurance strategy of the Swiss insurance company Baloise. Together, Ndgit and Baloise are implementing insurance APIs for digital partners in the real estate sector.

With Baloise, Ndgit has gained one of the leading Swiss insurance groups as a customer. Through the open finance platform, Baloise is now able to offer open insurance APIs for digital partners in the Swiss insurance market. An initial project will enable the online sale of construction insurance through digital partners.

“We were looking for an open insurance platform that would enable us to implement the insurance company’s API projects efficiently and scalably,”

remembers Martin Kaiser, New Business Manager at Baloise, and explains further:

"We expect new revenue from the Open Insurance APIs. Customers appreciate being able to purchase their insurance wherever their needs arise. In the future, we will offer this service online, allowing customers to, for example, purchase construction insurance directly on the platforms of our partners in the housing sector – our home and home ecosystem. In Ndgit, we have found the ideal partner to implement all of this in a compliant and secure manner."

Oliver Dlugosch, CEO and founder of Ndgit, adds:

"We are delighted to have convinced Baloise, a renowned customer in the insurance industry, of our solution. We are proud to support Baloise in bringing its products and services to digital channels as an extensible open insurance model. Thanks to our highly scalable solution, Baloise can expand the Insurance-as-a-Service concept to other business areas upon request."

As a technology and solutions provider for open banking platforms, Ndgit connects banks, insurance companies, fintechs, and platform companies into digital ecosystems, enabling end customers to access new financial services. The startup founded in 2016 has already migrated over 50 banks and corporations worldwide to its API platform for financial services. The company's investors include Capnamic, Profounders, and DvH Ventures.
