How the City of Munich intends to use artificial intelligence: Keynote speeches and discussions with experts from the city administration
Artificial intelligence is already being used in many areas of City Hall. In the future, AI will open up a multitude of additional applications for more efficient city administration and better service for citizens.
At "Meet the City," we present exciting case studies from the Innovation Lab of the city's IT department that are improving the quality of life for Munich's citizens: Services such as tree counts, rapid coronavirus test detection for the blind, traffic counts, and a knowledge assistant for the Munich Service Finder will be offered even better and more efficiently in the future thanks to artificial intelligence. Munich's municipal utilities also use AI in a variety of ways—including creating synthetic and adaptive vehicle announcements for the MVG, detecting dangerous situations in swimming pools, and making operational processes within SWM more efficient.
Dr. Stefanie Lämmle and Leon Lukas from the InnovationLab of the IT Department of the City of Munich as well as Sonja Reppenhagen and Dr. Andreas Diebold from the Munich Public Utilities will provide insights into the use of AI methods in the city at the “Meet the City” event series.
