Philipp Lahm joins another startup

Will the Bayern captain and Munich native become the next Ashton Kutcher? Lahm recently invested in Fanmiles. As Handelsblatt reports, the 2014 World Cup winner is now taking over 40 percent of the Franconian healthcare startup Danova.

The Erlangen company Danova offers preventive solutions for corporate health management. Lahm remains true to his investment strategy of investing in sports-related industries. At the beginning of March, the 32-year-old announced a stake in the Berlin-based platform Fanmiles. Lahm commented to Handelsblatt:

"I've been on the pitch day in, day out for 25 years, I need some variety."

His investments are part of his plans to retire from professional football in 2018:

“I don’t want to spend my life on the couch after I retire.”

We eagerly await the next actions of the new Munich celebrity investor.
