Angsa Robotics receives 2.5 million euros

The Munich-based robotics startup Angsa Robotics is developing a cleaning robot for green spaces. Husqvarna Ventures is now supporting the startup and its "Roomba for outdoors" with 2.5 million euros.

The Angsa Robotics robot platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to To automatically clear green spaces of wasteEven cigarette butts and broken glass shouldn't pose a problem for the cleaning robot. With its solution, the Munich-based startup aims to increase the efficiency and sustainability of waste management in parks and other green spaces.

Husqvarna Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Husqvarna, known for its chainsaws, lawnmowers and robotic lawnmowers. Husqvarna GroupThe gardening equipment manufacturer Gardena is also part of Husqvarna. The venture capital firm is looking for new robotics applications, particularly for the management of commercial green spaces. With the €2.5 million investment in Angsa Robotics, the investor is not only recognizing the potential of Angsa Robotics, but is also expanding its parent company's portfolio with possible future products.

Founded in 2019, the startup was part of the Xpreneurs and ESA BIC Bavaria incubators. Husqvarna Ventures' investment marks the first financing round completed by Angsa Robotics.
