From September 24 to 26, Bits & Pretzels will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The startup festival will take place as usual at the Munich Trade Fair Center and in the Schottenhamel tent at Oktoberfest. This year, Michelle Obama will lend the conference international appeal. In recent years, alongside her husband, Barack Obama prominent speakers such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Spacey and Richard Branson visited Bits & Pretzels.
Michelle Obama founded herself
The former First Lady will appear in a moderated talk focusing on the topics of inclusion, diversity, and motivation. Obama will appear not only as a prominent public figure, podcaster, and author, but also as a founder. She co-founded the nonprofit Plezi Nutrition, which provides healthy food and beverages for children.
“Every year we ask our community which speakers they want to see next, and Michelle Obama tops that list year after year,”
say the hosts of Bits & Pretzels Andy Bruckschlögl, Bernd Storm and Felix Haas.
"Our audiences consistently cite her impressive and engaging public speaking style, her leadership experience, and her commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice as the main reasons for choosing her. We believe all of this can be a valuable source of inspiration and guidance for our startup community."
A total of more than 500 speakers are expected to appear at this year’s Bits & Pretzels.
