Global Ethic Pitch Day: Impact Startups Wanted

The Global Ethic Institute at the University of Tübingen, together with partners from business, science, and society, is seeking "Ideas for Tomorrow." Startups that aim to take on social and ecological responsibility with economically viable ideas can apply for the prize, which will be awarded during the Global Ethic Pitch Day.

The Global Ethic Institute is a research and educational institution at the University of Tübingen with the goal of promoting value orientation and trust in business and society. The institute's Pitch Day of the same name is aimed at young Impact-Entrepreneurs who have developed a business plan and are already operating in the market and have established a business. The company should have been founded no earlier than 2018 and not after 2021; all economic sectors are eligible.

Further criteria that applicants should meet:

  • Contribution to the common good (comprehensible positive ethical, social and/or sustainable impact of the company)
  • Solid economic basis
  • Potential for further successful company development

Informal expressions of interest can be sent by email to villhauer@weltethos-institut.org Applicants will then receive the official application forms, which must be submitted by April 30, 2023. Each application should include a brief and concise description of the project and its planned implementation.

Final in Tübingen

The Pitch Day will take place on June 15, 2023, at the Global Ethic Institute in Tübingen. Up to six finalists will be invited to present their projects and project ideas. The finalists will present their startups to the jury and a panel of potential investors on-site. In addition, prize money totaling €10,000 will be awarded. The jury will also decide on the distribution of the prize money. The cash prize is intended to be used exclusively for the company's business activities.
