The European aerospace accelerator Starburst has opened a new location in the Munich area. The program is located at Ludwig Bölkow Campus in Taufkirchen.
The accelerator, which was launched in 2012, is establishing its third international location in the Munich area after Paris and Los Angeles.
“We are excited to bring Starburst Accelerator to Germany,”
says Starburst CEO Francois Chopard,
"On our expansion path through Europe, we chose Munich because of its excellent business and investor landscape and its unique innovative strength. There is great potential here for aerospace startups."
Dr. Wolfgang Hübschle, Managing Director of Invest in Bavaria, is pleased about the growth in the Munich startup ecosystem and explains:
“Bavaria is one of the world’s leading aerospace locations, a central hub for aerospace entrepreneurship in Europe, and the ideal environment for Starburst.”
On March 8, the accelerator hosted its first startup pitch at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology.
