To mark its fifth anniversary, the initiative is publishing its key learnings, based on five years of experience in applying AI. Since 2017, AppliedAI has been supporting companies in the application and design of AI together with technology and industrial groups as well as organizations from politics and science. At the same time, the initiative discusses the impact of AI on people and the economy and takes into account the ever-growing importance of AI through free offers and support. Published annually, Startup map provides updates on current developments in the field of AI and offers established companies and politicians orientation and points of contact.
AppliedAI also provides everyone with basic AI knowledge through free online courses, the AI Maturity Assessment, and a use case library. Regularly published white papers also support companies with relevant questions related to AI.
Since 2022, the initiative has operated as a joint venture between Dieter Schwarz Foundation and the UnternehmerTUM.
“40,000 people trained in AI”
Andreas Liebl, Managing Director of AppliedAI summarizes:
"Over the past five years, we have trained over 40,000 people in AI and supported hundreds of companies in implementing the technology. I am particularly pleased that other AI initiatives now also consider us Europe's leading institution in this field. Through our future collaboration with IPAI, we aim to increase our current output tenfold in the coming years, enabling thousands of companies across Europe to use AI professionally and in a value-creating manner."
