The Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme enters the next round

With the Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme (OEP), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore offers its students a special entrepreneurship exchange program. Munich-based startups can also participate – thus finding new talent and preparing for expansion into Asia.

The Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme is designed to help students gain entrepreneurial experience, for example, by working closely with company founders. Students can undertake internships at startups in China, Europe, and the USA. In this way, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) aims to foster students' entrepreneurship and prepare them to establish and manage their own startup. The program lasts six months or a full year and is primarily aimed at students with a technical background. To participate, students must first complete a selection process based on their entrepreneurial skills.

But startups also benefit from participating in the program. It is not uncommon for students to stay with their internship company after their internship. This is especially true for startups that want to expand their business after Singapore or Southeast Asia want to expand, this can already be a first step in that direction.

Participation in the Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme

To participate in the Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme, interested startups can directly by email to the Programme Director for Germany and the Nordic Countries Karen Lim There are no costs for the companies – except for the internship fee. Visas, flight tickets, insurance, and everything else are covered by the OEP. The next round of the program begins in October with matching students and startups. The internships are scheduled to begin in January. Interested startups are asked to apply by September 30th.
