Mentessa raises 1 million euros in seed round

The edtech startup Mentessa has developed a platform that connects employees for skills-based learning and collaboration. The Munich-based company has now raised €1 million in its seed round, led by Eleven Ventures.

Mentessa focuses on company employees with its platform and helps them to find their way around the culture and collaborate with colleagues. the startup's app on a network of expertise where employees find the right contact at the right time to learn from each other and share experiences. Intelligent algorithms are also intended to help overcome psychological barriers and connect with others in a targeted manner, regardless of hierarchy, location, or prejudice.

In addition, with its new competency approach, Mentessa promises to provide authentic information about who has which skills and who currently needs them. This should make it even easier for colleagues with complementary skills and needs to find each other. With its offering, Mentessa aims to help companies plan for the unknown and help employees realize their full potential.

The now completed €1 million seed round is led by the Sofia-based fund Eleven Ventures. A limited number of German and international business angels are joining the round in a second closing. Eleven Ventures is known, among other things, for its support of the London-based payments unicorn Payhawk.
