LMU IEC optimizes business models for startups

The LMU Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (LMU IEC) has a special offer for young startups: free support in developing or optimizing their business model and business plan. Founding projects and startups can apply for the "Start with Business Modeling" program until March 25.

“Start with Business Modelling” is a cooperation project between the Institutes for Innovation Management (IIM) and for Personnel Education & Management (IWP) of the LMU and the LMU IEC. Students, under the guidance and support of mentors from the Munich School of Management, examine the submitted business ideas and companies. The analysis is based on aspects of the Canvas business model, including value propositions, customer segments, and revenue streams. The results are optimization suggestions and concrete recommendations for action for the various areas of the Business Model Canvas and the participating startups.

Advantages for founders

Whether a startup is just starting out or looking to expand its business model, "Start with Business Modelling" offers added value for everyone. It's particularly interesting for startups approaching financing rounds with potential investors. Young companies seeking a different perspective on their existing business model or new product ideas also benefit. This free service offers founders:

  • New ideas for start-ups or existing companies
  • Development of recommendations for the concrete implementation of the start-up project
  • Possibility of focusing on specific fields of action of a business model (e.g. value proposition, customer segments, financing)
  • Access to current knowledge in start-up management
  • Building and expanding your personal network

Participating founders should note that their business ideas are legally protected by a confidentiality agreement and a non-disclosure agreement. Participation is also free of charge. Interested parties can apply for participation via the LMU IEC website until March 25. The final presentations are scheduled for July 25.
