EIT Food Accelerator Network seeks innovative startups

The four-month EIT Food Accelerator Network (EIT FAN) program from EIT Food aims to support innovative food and agricultural startups in their successful market launch. Interested founders can apply until February 28.

The EIT FAN aims to accelerate science and technology-based innovations that contribute to solving global food security challenges. To this end, the centres of the EIT Food In addition to Munich, the centers are located in Bilbao, Reading, Haifa, Helsinki, Lausanne, and Paris. The centers connect startups with industry-leading companies and research partners. This is intended to help the young companies test their innovative technologies and ultimately successfully launch them on the market.

In addition to contacts in business and academia, EIT FAN also offers coaching and mentoring, as well as access to specialized facilities such as laboratories, pilot sites, makerspaces, and agricultural land. Participating startups can also look forward to funding of up to €10,000, as well as further financial support from the EIT Food Impact Fund.

Application for the EIT FAN

To apply for the EIT FAN, a startup must be able to demonstrate a proof of concept or a pilot project. Furthermore, it must be in the pre-seed phase, meaning it has not yet completed Series A financing. Furthermore, it must be based in an EU member state or a country associated with Horizon Europe. Those who can demonstrate customer validation or traction, for example, through letters of intent or sales, increase their chances. Application deadline is February 28The four-month program begins in June. A total of up to 60 startups will be selected.
