Who is the best cybersecurity startup in the DACH region?

The annual Cybersecurity Startup Award UP21@it-sa is entering its fourth round. Startups can apply until June 27th for a grand prize worth a total of 10,000 euros.

The UP21@it-sa Award is sponsored by the Digital Hub Cybersecurity, the IT Security Cluster, and NürnbergMesse. Startups from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland that focus on IT security or data protection are eligible to participate. The prerequisite for participation is that the company is already established, has customers, and is less than five years old.

Applications for the award are open until June 27th. To participate in the competition, startups must complete an application form and submit it along with a pitch presentation consisting of a maximum of 15 slides. A 60-second video can also be submitted, but this is optional. From all applications, the jury will nominate ten startups by mid-July, which will then present their ideas to a professional audience, experts, and investors. The overall winner will then be decided by the audience in an online vote. The physical award ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 14th at it-sa 2021, circumstances permitting.
