Health economics expert Thomas Ecker and the family office Vantage Value are joining Visionhealth. In addition to the approval of the App Kata as a reimbursable digital health application (DiGA) the Garchingers The money will be used for market entry in Germany. Furthermore, revenue will be generated through collaborations with pharmaceutical and medical technology companies and the use of the app in clinical trials.
The Kata app supports patients in taking their inhalation therapy for respiratory diseases. This allows them to identify and correct errors in the inhalation process and improve treatment outcomes. Studies cited by the startup have shown error rates of more than 32 percent in the use of inhaled medications. The app could significantly improve patient medication administration and save the healthcare system significant costs.
