Twostays coworking concept convinces investors
Since its founding in 2019, the Munich-based company has been committed to sustainable, flexible, and affordable coworking spaces in major cities. Towstay creates new workspaces from spaces like bars or clubs that are empty during the day.
“Flexibility, networking, and inspiration are more in demand today than ever before, and at the same time, empty or only used space at certain times in big cities is a major problem. We founded Twostay to address this problem,”
explains founder Cecilia ChiolerioThe concept also convinced Christoph Behn from Better Ventures:
"Twostay has great potential to sustainably improve our world by making the best possible use of existing resources. Cecilia and Dorothea not only help people find a suitable workspace and community, but also protect our environment with their company."
CO2 emissions should also be reduced
In the long term, shared workspaces can not only reduce CO2 emissions caused by daily commuting to a distant work location, but also reduce CO2 emissions that would otherwise be generated by the construction of new office space.
Twostay already offers coworking spaces in seven German cities, including Munich, Hamburg, and Cologne, as well as Vienna. Furthermore, the startup supports coworking operators with its proprietary software, supporting them in managing their space and building communities. With the fresh capital, Twostay now plans to venture into developing new locations, according to Cecilia Chiolerio:
"Our goal for 2021 is to offer a total of 120 coworking locations by the end of the year. We will also improve our community building service and continue working on our software."
The Munich-based startup has already received several awards. In addition to the Commitment Award and the Innovation Prize of the City of Munich There was another award, the 'PropTech Innovation Award'.
