Munich startups and small businesses say “No!” to Black Friday and instead donate a portion of their sales this week, November 23rd – 29th, 2020, to a charitable project, more precisely to the Munich Association Greencity.
The idea behind the campaign is to encourage consumers to invest in local and smaller businesses that cannot – and do not want to – participate in the Black Friday discount battle to the extent that the big players in the market can.
Less discount, more conscious consumption
To raise consumer awareness, 13 Munich-based startups and companies have joined forces and will not offer any discounts during the week of November 23-29, 2020. A portion of this week's sales will be donated to Greencity eV.
