Freeletics CEO Daniel Sobhani invests in B42

Daniel Sobhani, CEO of Freeletics, is investing in B42 and intends to contribute his expertise to the Munich-based soccer startup in the future. The size of the investment was not disclosed.

Runs at B42: The provider of an online-based football training program can announce some important milestones this week. As a strategic investor, Daniel Sobhani Sobhani has been CEO of Freeletics and now plans to use this expertise to invest in B42. Regarding his investment, the amount of which was not disclosed, he said:

"In my opinion, B42 is one of the most promising players among sports apps. I find not only the training and rehabilitation concepts more than convincing, as evidenced by the consistently good reviews in the app stores. The team is also extremely well-organized, passionate about their work, and absolutely motivated to bring positive change to amateur football."

App development is also progressing: An update is scheduled to go live this year. It will include further developments in user profiles and gamification elements, designed to enhance the fun of training and the user experience.

New app on nutrition

Another innovation is a completely new training component that focuses on endurance training. Just in time for the post-Christmas period, B42 also plans to launch a second app focused on nutrition. Personalized nutrition plans, individually tailored to the user's personal goals and requirements – with this, the Munich-based startup aims to expand its offerings for athletes.

And it's not just individual athletes who use B42; the app is also used in professional football. One of the teams that uses the B42 app as a supplementary tool for training management is Eintracht Frankfurt's U15 team. Andreas Gschaider, CEO and founder of B42, is pleased:

"We are proud of the consistently positive feedback on our training and rehabilitation app. The fact that even youth teams from the professional world are now training with us underscores the quality of our app-based training programs."
