Julep secures 2 million euros

The podcast platform Julep has successfully completed a Series A financing round and raised more than 2 million euros.

Julep has convinced old and new investors to invest in capital. The Rheinische Post Media Group, the Müller Medien family of companies, and private investors such as Andreas Mayer are new investors in the company. young Munich companies Existing investors Andreas Wiele and Marcus Prosch, as well as the Julep management, have invested again. The current financing is the second capital raising within a few months.

Julep: “We want to expand our position in the local podcast market”

The Munich-based company operates an automated platform for the marketing, production, and distribution of podcasts. According to the startup, it is the only German podcast provider to offer all aspects of podcast marketing from a single source. Julep also works as a marketer for publishers and media companies. Sport1 was a launch partner in February 2019, and several podcasts from Burda are now also marketed by the startup. The company delivers more than nine million streams from 180 podcasters per month.

The Munich-based company plans to invest the fresh capital in content and technology. They also plan to expand the sales team and enhance the platform with new features.
