H+ Digital Health Innovation Programme: 7 Munich startups participate

The participants for the H+ Digital Health Innovation Programme have been announced: 41 startups have been selected for the multi-week program, which is jointly organized by the InsurTech Hub Munich and the dmac / Digital Health Hub Nuremberg / Erlangen. Seven Munich startups are also participating.

The starting signal for the H+ Digital Health Innovation Programs falls on September 16. A total of 41 startups selected for this first round, seven of them from Munich. These include Aigora, B42, Custom Surgical, Empident, Iatros, Virtonomy and Wellabe.

The H+ Digital Health Innovation Program consists of various program components: The "Business Development Weeks" primarily focus on establishing business contacts and further developing one's own business model. A continuous curriculum and workshops, such as a "Pitch Clinic," serve to impart in-depth entrepreneurship and industry knowledge.

The entire program is designed to generate the greatest possible added value for the founders. The field of participants will be further narrowed down in two "review events" at the end of September and in October, with the most promising companies taking center stage at investor meetings and a concluding "demo day."

Due to the current situation, participation in the H+ program will also be possible entirely remotely.

Over 2000 founders in the pre-selection

Together with experts from the hubs' partner companies, over 2,000 founders worldwide were interviewed and reviewed as part of the selection process. At the end of this process, 41 particularly promising startups were selected for this year's H+ Digital Health Innovation Program.

The startups' diverse topics demonstrate the multifaceted nature of the healthcare industry: Their focus areas range from preventive care to diagnostics and rehabilitation. When solving their industry problems, the startups leverage valuable tools and methods from other areas, such as data analytics, IoT, and artificial intelligence.

First-time cooperation between two Bavarian innovation hubs

The H+ Digital Health Innovation Programme brings together, for the first time, the expertise of two institutions within the Digital Hub initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, which aims to promote innovations in a wide range of sectors. While the Digital Health Hub Nuremberg / Erlangen specifically contributes its experience from the healthcare industry, the Insurtech Hub Munich about expertise in promoting innovation in the insurance industry. Both hubs are also supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
