The 8th Bavarian CSR Day on September 22nd is dedicated to the motto "Full speed ahead for a sustainable future." The COVID-19 pandemic has posed massive challenges to our globalized economic system and revealed the fragility of international value chains. Now, more than ever, it is important to keep a close eye on the sustainability model and seize the opportunity to set the course for a resilient economy.
But it's not just since the coronavirus pandemic that it's become clear that truly sustainable development is necessary. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals have pointed the way there since their adoption by the United Nations in 2015. These goals provide government, business, civil society, and academia with a roadmap for the future, which must now be consistently implemented.
