The Media Lab Bayern supports aspiring media startups in the eighth batch of the Media Startup Fellowship with up to €50,000 in financial support, as well as coaching and mentoring. The program will run digitally until the end of the year, with some in-person sessions in Munich.
Media Lab has been supporting media startups for five years
The media incubator of the Bavarian State Office for New Media (BLM) is awarding the scholarship for the eighth time. The Media Lab Bayern itself recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. Lina Timm says:
"An innovation hub like this can only come into being with a lot of support and freedom for creativity. The fact that the BLM always stood behind the project and allowed the anarchist outpost to flourish has made all of Media Lab Bayern's successes possible in the first place."
The original idea behind the Media Lab was to support talented people in the media industry in establishing their own businesses. Today, the Offer It also targets digital professionals who want to develop new ideas in the tech and media sectors. The Media Lab also trains students and young professionals in entrepreneurship and offers media houses its own intrapreneurship program.
