The Media Lab Bayern is once again awarding its Research & Development Fellowship. The fellowship is aimed at people who are interested in addressing a problem in the media world and want to develop a solution. Applications are open until July 1, 2020.
The Research & Development Fellowship is designed to support media creators in launching an innovative media project. The Media Lab has set its own "challenges" that are intended to provide answers to questions such as:
How can media companies combat fake news? And how can journalistic content be personalized so that users are met where they are at the moment? Or what data should newsrooms collect? Interested parties are welcome to suggest their own topic where they see an urgent need for innovation.
What to expect from the Research & Development Fellowship
The Media Lab Bayern offers two months of time and office space (if a workstation is needed). You'll receive a salary of up to €10,000 and learn tools and methods from experienced innovation coaches. This includes, for example, rapid prototyping and target group analysis, if needed. The fellowship also provides access to a network and a platform for launching the project at the end.
Media pioneers should bring two months of time and commitment, as well as several years of professional experience as a journalist, media innovator, or developer. Please note: Media Lab also offers another program, the Media Startup Fellowship. We will, of course, inform you as soon as the application period opens.
