Inveox supplies clinics and laboratories with corona equipment

Disinfectants, personal protective equipment, SARS-CoV-2 tests—many medical facilities currently lack the right materials to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The Munich-based medtech startup Inveox has therefore begun supplying hospitals and laboratories with this critical equipment.

Inveox was founded in February 2017 by Maria and Dominik Sievert. The Munich startup has set itself the goal of using digital solutions to improve the transport of tissue samples from the doctor to the laboratory as well as the information processing surrounding the digital samples.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the startup has now expanded its supply chain to include the urgently needed medical supplies. The range includes SARS-CoV-2 swab kits with universal transport medium (UTM) for throat and nasal swabs, FFP2 and FFP3 respirators, surgical masks, protective goggles, protective suits, nitrile gloves, disinfectants, and PCR kits for the determination of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid in samples. These items currently have a delivery time of two to three weeks.

Inveox ships one million masks per week

The startup now says it ships up to one million test kits, one million FFP2 masks, and three million surgical masks per week. The first customers of Inveox's new business line currently include around 300 clinics, laboratories, medical care centers, and nursing facilities in Europe and the USA.

Inveox continues to pursue its original corporate goal of automating tissue sample receipt in pathology laboratories. For the founders and managing directors Maria and Dominik Sievert Acting quickly, expanding, and adapting their supply chain is one way they can support their healthcare partners in new ways as they continue to work on improving pre-analytics in histopathology. They share:

"With the delivery of swab tests and respirators, medical personnel can continue working to combat the COVID-19 virus. As the crisis continues to unfold daily with all its consequences, one thing is clear to us: the real heroes these days are our customers. Specialists, medical staff, and laboratory employees who are working tirelessly. We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts, both as an Inveox team and as individuals."

Dr. S. Wesley Long, Medical Director of Clinical Microbiology in Houston, Texas, is one of the first customers to receive Inveox's new products. He says:

"During this challenging time of the global COVID-19 pandemic, it is most important to have reliable relationships with good, trustworthy partners who adhere to agreements and promises. I greatly value my solid relationship with Inveox and the company's support in reliably delivering urgently needed medical supplies."
