Online: How is data shaping the media industry?

Big data and artificial intelligence (AI) – two buzzwords that will have a lasting impact on and transform the media industry. We'll take a closer look at exactly what this impact looks like on April 2nd at the Media Date "How is data shaping the media industry?" in cooperation with Women in Big Data.

What are the new challenges regarding misinformation and disinformation facing the media industry? To what extent can open source intelligence benefit from artificial intelligence? How will speech recognition influence journalistic workflows in the future? Marina Arvanitidou, Senior Research Engineer Machine Learning at the Institute of Broadcasting Technology, will address these questions in her presentation "Recent Developments in Artificial Intelligence and Challenges for the Media Industry." Following this, there will be input from our cooperation partner: Britta Daffner, Head of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Data Department in IBM's consulting division, will speak about political structures in media companies.
