Tech 'n' Drinks – myposter's tech meetup. We're back!
On November 7, 2019, it's finally time again - with beer and pizza, we're going into a new round of Tech 'n' Drinks at the myposter city office.
This time, we'll be joined by our two software development colleagues, Martin Straub and Jennifer Zeiser. Together, we'll explore the topics of "Clean Code" and "Concepts of Clean Code adapted for JavaScript." We're looking forward to a great evening!
agenda
6:30 pm: Pizza & Drinks
7:30 PM: Talk 1 “Clean Code”
8:15 pm: Break with drinks & snacks
8:30 p.m.: Talk 2 “Concepts of Clean Code adapted for JavaScript”
9:15 p.m.: Networking & more drinks
Clean Code
Some of you might be thinking: Another talk about clean code, and two more at that? Yes, absolutely!
Because as long as we haven't sufficiently drained the (software) world, everyone loves each other or at least listens to rock music, we carry around unnecessary ballast and simply "solve" problems in a much too symptomatic way, they will (unfortunately) continue to exist.
Concepts of Clean Code adapted for JavaScript
The term "clean code" was coined by Robert C. Martin in his book "Clean Code: A Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship." Like the first talk of the evening, Robert C. Martin's book deals with principles and concepts for "clean" code in general. In contrast, the second talk of the evening will be more specific and apply these concepts to JavaScript.
