Guide Contest 2019: Apply now!

The Guide project is looking for the competition “Guide Contest 2019" award for the best elevator pitch. Female founders from Bavaria can apply until September 18, 2019, at 12:00 p.m.

The Guide project is dedicated to advising and supporting women entrepreneurs and is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs, the ESF (European Social Fund for Germany), the MBQ (Munich Employment and Qualification Programme) and the Referat für Arbeit und Wirtschaft of the state capital Munich promoted.

Pitch competition for Bavarian female founders

The competition is designed to motivate women and entrepreneurs from Bavaria interested in starting a business to explore their business ideas creatively and practically, to identify the unique features of their business model, and to evaluate the impact of their presentation. The expert jury will provide feedback to all participants. The winners of the competition can look forward to a certificate, startup-related prizes, and inclusion in the Guide Women Founders Network, which will support them in the future implementation of their idea. The winners will be announced in Munich in November 2019.

Conditions of participation

Female entrepreneurs residing in Bavaria and pursuing their idea for a maximum of two years are eligible to participate. All applicants must register informally for participation in the competition by email, in writing, or by phone at the Guide project office.

Guidelines for the competition entry

All applicants must submit an elevator pitch of their business ideas in the form of a short video message. This can include a specific question, a relevant image, or even a compelling introductory story. It is important that the pitch provides a good starting point for a conversation with future partners or customers. Furthermore, the contribution should present the project, outline the target customer group, emphasize the uniqueness of the idea, and convey emotions. The video should be approximately one to two and a half minutes long and should be uploaded via WeTransfer as an MP4 or MOV file in 2:3 or 9:16 format. The maximum file size is 1.5 GB. Furthermore, only the use of own images and music or media with free licenses is permitted. This must be confirmed to the organizer in writing. Offers for preparation

Guide is hosting the active networking event "Elevator Pitch" on June 3, 2019, between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., focusing on thinking, writing, and presenting. Participation costs €15. Registration for the workshop is available via Email.
