Ben Shaw joins the BMWi-funded Insurtech Hub Munich (ITHM) as Director of Programmes and Strategy with immediate effect.
The business information specialist joins from Barclays in New York, where he most recently headed the award-winning Barclays Accelerator, powered by Techstars. In his new role at ITHM He will be responsible for the operational and content-related program design of the early-stage W1Forward InsurTech Accelerator.

Ben Shaw, the new man at ITHM, is looking forward to his new task:
"With its membership of regional and international insurance companies and partners such as Roche and PwC, the Insurtech Hub Munich has a reach unlike any other innovation platform in Europe. At the same time, we are experiencing a wave of startups in the international insurtech scene that are redefining the broad spectrum of topics along the value chain, from sales to claims settlement. I am excited to leverage this potential together with the startups and our members and to be able to shape the German and European future of the insurance industry."
