Sono Motors is expanding its management board: Thomas Hausch and Isa Krupka have been appointed to the company's executive board as Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Communications Officer (CCO), respectively, effective immediately. This brings the board of the Munich-based mobility startup from four to six positions.
Sono Motors continues to grow. After the Munich startup recently announced that the “magic” limit of 5000 pre-orders could be broken, the team is now getting reinforcements for the management board.
In the newly created role of COO, Thomas Hausch (52) will be responsible for the development and implementation of business strategies and production decisions, as well as the management of strategic partners and suppliers. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry in development, production, and sales to his new role as COO. After holding senior management positions at Daimler and Chrysler, Thomas Hausch joined the Californian startup Coda Automotive, a company specializing in electromobility. For the past five years, he served as CEO of Nissan Center Europe, where, among other things, he further advanced the topic of electromobility.
In the newly created position of CCO, Isa Krupka (56) will lead Corporate Communications and be responsible for the strategic direction of communications and reputation management within the company. She has extensive experience in communications, strategic marketing, and brand management, including more than 15 years in the international financial industry. In various management positions at Dow Jones Indexes and STOXX Ltd., she led European and global marketing. Most recently, she was responsible for all marketing and press activities outside the USA at the international American asset manager VanEck.
Working together on the market launch at the end of 2019
"With our new colleagues, proven experts in their respective areas of responsibility, we will lead Sono Motors into the next stage of development and strategically align ourselves with the planned growth trajectory for the coming years. With the deep expertise and broad experience of our now complete management team, we are ideally prepared to meet the challenges on our path to becoming a global mobility provider. With well over 6,000 vehicle reservations and in preparation for series production and market launch at the end of 2019, we are increasingly focusing on issues relating to production decisions, brand building, and communication. We are very pleased to have Isa and Thomas on board during this crucial phase and to lead Sono Motors into the future together with them."
says Laurin Hahn, Founder and CEO of Sono Motors.
The Management Board will in future consist of the founders and CEOs Laurin Hahn and Jona Christians as well as Roberto Diesel (CTO), Thomas Hausch (COO), Isa Krupka (CCO) and Martin Sabbione (CFO).
