Applications for the StartGreen Award are now being accepted. Anyone who wants to start a business in the field of climate protection and sustainability, has already started a business, or is helping others to start a business, is cordially invited to participate. Via the portal www.start-green.net The necessary information can be uploaded online.
The price will be four categories forgive: Founding concept, startups, young companies and Start-up promotersIn the category of startup promoters, business angels, venture capitalists, startup competitions, funding programs, universities, and startup centers can apply. Prize money of 20,000 euros, valuable non-cash prizes and the Access to experts important start-up support institutions.
Expert jury gathers Germany's heavyweights of the green startup scene
The prize is supported by the Federal Environment Ministry and the National Climate Protection Initiative as funding bodies for the project StartUp4Climate. The start-up initiative and the Borderstep Institute As organizer of the award, twelve important players in the start-up and innovation system are on hand.
This also includes the Federal Association of German Startups "I am looking forward to the Start Green Award because it recognizes exciting projects that operate in an ecologically and economically sustainable manner and thus make a special contribution to innovation and future viability in Germany," says Sascha Schubert, deputy chairman and state chairman in Berlin, who represents his association on the expert jury.
Guidance and quality standards
"The 'Start Green Award' establishes a guideline and a quality standard. This creates security for the 'green' startup scene," explains Volker Weber. The Chairman of the Board of the Forum for Sustainable Investments is also a member of the StartGreen Award's expert jury.
The award ceremony will take place on November 19, 2015, at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB). Federal Environment Minister Dr. Barbara Hendricks is patron of the StartGreen Awards.
