The competition takes place annually and is designed to motivate scientists to turn their ideas into innovative and competitive spin-offs. Inventions and technologies with commercial potential can be submitted in the form of dissertations, bachelor's and master's theses, or other project work.
The competition is organized by TUM in cooperation with UnternehmerTUM and the Zeidler Research Foundation and is endowed with prize money totaling 37,500 euros.
