In spring 2016, approximately 390,000 Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK)-affiliated companies will be called upon to elect their general assembly, the parliament of the regional economy. This assembly will decide on the guidelines for the IHK's work.
For the next Chamber of Commerce and Industry election in 2016, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has found four prominent entrepreneurs to draw attention to the election:
- Innegrit Volkhardt, the head of the Bayerischer Hof in Munich,
- the former ski racer Martina Ertl-Renz,
- the Extrembergsteiger Benedikt Böhm and
- the TV chef Stefan Marquard.
