Who are the fastest-growing digital companies in Germany? Gründerszene intends to explore this question again this year and is launching the Gründerszene Awards. The evaluation basis for this competition is primarily the average annual revenue growth (CAGR) of the individual companies from 2015 to 2017. Bonus points are also awarded for long-term market presence.

Who can participate?

Companies with a digital business model are eligible to participate. This includes a partially digital model, such as sales via an online channel. Agencies, however, are not eligible to participate.

In addition, business operations must have commenced no later than January 1, 2015, as the growth score is calculated based on net sales from the last three full fiscal years. Short fiscal years cannot be included in the evaluation. Furthermore, net sales of at least €10,000 must have been generated in 2015.

Interest? Then you can apply here until 22 July 2018.

And then?

The Gründerszene Awards will be presented on November 29, 2018, in three categories: Growth, Special Entrepreneurship Award, and Special Big Player Award.

In the Growth category, the top 50 fastest-growing digital companies in Germany are honored. Additionally, the winners of individual key growth sectors are also selected.

The Special Entrepreneurship Award honors an individual, company, or institution that has actively shaped Germany's digital scene. The award is intended to honor exceptional commitment to explicitly promoting entrepreneurship in Germany.

And the special award in the Big Player category is intended to recognize exceptional entrepreneurial achievements.
