Plug and Play InsurTech: 16 startups in Batch Zero

"Insurtech Europe powered by Plug and Play," the startup innovation platform of InsurTech Hub Munich and Plug and Play, has announced its 16 startups for Batch Zero. Three Munich-based startups are among them.

Among the many applications received, 16 startups have been particularly recommended for Batch Zero of the InsurTech accelerator of Plug & Play and the InsurTech Hub Munich to be accepted.  Saeed Amidi, founder and CEO of Plug and Play, on the goal of the accelerator program:

"Our goal is to match startups to corporations based on their interests to create mutually beneficial partnerships that embody the Plug and Play spirit of open innovation. We are excited to introduce these companies into our ecosystem in Munich and help them grow."

The selected startups can benefit from the large Plug & Play network for the next three months without having to give up any shares.

Batch Zero with Munich participation

Three Munich startups have also made it into the first round of the InsurTech accelerator:

  • Bleenco: With its AI software, the Munich-based startup aims to contribute to accident prevention on roads and in industrial environments.
  • Bodylabs (Editor’s note: now Wellabe): Based on a personal health check, Bodylabs creates an individual prevention program.
  • FairFleet: The young company sees itself as a full-service partner for professional drone services, providing optimal support to both customers and pilots – from insurance services and licensing of professional drone pilots to post-production of aerial photography.
