StartUp Munich: Four steps to a successful start-up

Are you considering starting your own business? Do you have a business idea and are planning to start a business? Are you looking for support with your business plan? Then the StartUp Munich event series is just the thing for you. The kickoff date is April 10, 2018.

The StartUp Munich event series offers founders information on creating a business plan, shares proven practical tips, and facilitates exchanges with startup experts and like-minded people. Over five themed evenings, you'll get answers to the following questions:

  • What are the components of a business plan?
  • How do I optimally align my business model with my customers/target group?
  • How do I analyze the market, industry and competition?
  • How does the customer find out about my offer?
  • How do I ensure my long-term market success?
  • How do I create a financial plan?
  • How do I prepare for a bank interview?

Experienced and successful founders will share their experiences and offer valuable practical tips. At the kickoff on April 10, the founders of Flissade tell how their idea became a company. For its revolutionary spatial concept, the young startup was awarded the Munich Founders' Prize excellent.

Four stages with different focuses

Stage 1On April 17, Klaus Plecher and Dominik Mayer will present two effective methods for successfully developing business models: EKS — bottleneck-focused strategy — and Lean Startup! Friedl Wynants of youknow will share the detours he and his co-founder took on their way to becoming a successful e-learning company.

Stage 2: On April 24, it's all about marketing and sales. Emil Hofmann will explain how you can find and inspire customers. The founders of EIGHTYDOTS will share firsthand (online) marketing tips from their own experience.

Stage 3: On May 8th, we'll be discussing financing your business. What offers do savings banks have for founders? What do I need to consider when planning my finances and liquidity? How do I prepare for my bank meeting? The guys from KWERQUS will tell you how the topic of financing looks from the perspective of founders.

Stage 4: At the conclusion on May 15, experienced startup and business consultant Dr. Uwe Kirst will introduce you to the success factors for your startup.
