Fresh capital for CloudEO: The Munich-based geodata startup has raised a total of 2.4 million euros from several investors. According to startup scene primarily used for sales and distribution to further drive customer growth.
Satellite images, weather data, or ship movements — CloudEO doesn't own its own satellites, but collects data from various satellite providers and makes it available to its customers. The advantage for companies is obvious: data sets, sometimes even just needed once, don't have to be purchased at great expense, but can be accessed via CloudEO access on a rental basis. According to co-founder Dr. Manfred Krischke, 600 companies are currently registered with the Munich-based startup, although not all of them receive data every month.
CloudEO: Big goals for 2021
To further expand its customer network, the geodata startup has now raised €2.4 million from various investors who wished to remain anonymous. The funds will primarily be used for sales and marketing.
Loud startup scene The company's current valuation is €13.8 million, but the startup does not disclose its annual revenue. Only this much: The goal is to generate revenue in the region of €100 million in 2021.
