When negotiating the participation and investment agreement with investors, different interests clash: While the entrepreneur wants to retain control, the investor seeks security for their investment in the form of control and influence. For the investment to provide the desired boost to the company's growth, the entrepreneur and investor must see themselves as partners and work together.
