"Making Data Meaningful" — This is the motto of Future X Healthcare, which is coming to Munich for the first time this year on November 9th. As the title suggests, everything here revolves around digitalization and the resulting opportunities and challenges for healthcare. If you have a startup operating in this field, you have until the end of August to apply for the Future X Healthcare Award.
The amount of available health data—from laboratory data, study data, digital imaging data, to genetic profiles—is increasing rapidly. The data comes from diverse sources, is highly complex, and not always accessible, resulting in the loss of potential added value.
“The question will be how we can gain new insights, formulate well-founded hypotheses, accelerate research, and more successfully develop novel products based on innovative approaches to data use and interpretation,”
explained Dr. Ursula Redeker, spokesperson for the management of Roche Diagnostics GmbH. She continues:
“We see enormous opportunities in digitalization for the benefit of patients, especially for personalized medicine, where the integration of pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and health IT management is playing an increasingly important role.”
Wanted: Outstanding Startups
The Future X Healthcare Award is seeking startups whose work is driving the digitalization of healthcare – with intelligent solutions for handling big data. They hope to contribute to more efficient research and development or improved patient care. You can apply here until the end of August.
In addition to a total prize of €17,500, the winner will receive coaching from an experienced business angel, among other things. All finalists will also receive an invitation to Future X Healthcare and the opportunity to present their business to a high-profile audience with their own booth.
