Mannheim shops in Munich: The Mannheim-based energy company MVV wants to further expand its product and service range in the area of energy data management for industry and SMEs and has now acquired the energy data service provider econ solutions GmbH (Straubenhardt / Germering near Munich). The two companies announced this in a joint statement.
econ solutions, founded in 2010 by Dr. Stephan Theis Founded as a startup with the Straubenhardt-based Polyrack Group as managing partner, the company is now a nationwide specialist in energy data acquisition systems. The company focuses on manufacturer-independent and cross-media solutions for energy data management for industrial and commercial customers.
Almost four million annual turnover – econ remains independent
The interdisciplinary team currently consists of 15 energy management, measurement technology, and software experts with its own sales and product development center in Germering near Munich. The company has more than 400 customers throughout Germany and generated annual sales of almost €4 million in 2016.
According to MVV Sales Director Ralf Klöpfer The services of MVV and econ complement each other to provide complete energy monitoring and energy efficiency solutions for medium-sized industries, large businesses, and chain stores. Klöpfer emphasized that both companies will contribute their respective strengths to the collaboration.
Both econ and MVV, as well as Polyrack, see the new partnership as an important long-term foundation and an ideal platform for the continued growth of the company, which will continue to operate independently. The Polyrack Group will continue to be available to econ as a powerful partner for hardware and logistics services.
