The 3rd Crowdfunding Night takes place in the new MakerSpace in Garching
The night for enthusiasts is all about “Crowd meets Tech”.
On June 11 The Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, together with the UnternehmerTUM, invites all project starters and those who want to become one to the MakerSpace, which celebrated its grand opening on June 1st. This time, the focus is on crowdfunding for tech products.
Crowdfunding up close – with the following guests:
Nadine Bruder from Kickstarter Germany demonstrates what successful crowdfunding campaigns look like. She explains how storytelling works, what best practices are for tech products, and also highlights the no-gos and common pitfalls that project starters should definitely avoid.
Wolfgang Seibold from Bocusini, the first Plug'nPlay 3D food printer, reports live from the campaign's daily routine.Targeting groups and community building are the particular challenges in crowdfunding this niche product.
Nikolaj Hviid of Bragi In 2014, he launched Europe's most successful crowdfunding campaign to date with "The Dash," gaining 16,000 backers for his smart headphones. He's had an exciting year with the crowd, the ups and downs of startup life, and a wealth of learnings, which he'll share with you.
In addition, current crowdfunding campaigns from Munich and the surrounding area will once again be pitching for the audience. Among them will be StoryHome: The Storytelling Device and the team from SWOP Team.
The crowdfunding night will conclude with a networking event, where participants can expect a few special surprises. Those interested can also take part in a guided tour of the newly opened MakerSpace.
