best concept 2016: Women honored for convincing business ideas

On 19 October the award ceremony for the best concept 2016 competition of the founders’ project guide For the tenth time, the project honored women for particularly convincing business ideas.

“More female founders than ever before”

During the awards ceremony at the Munich Conference Center, prizes and certificates were awarded. Bavaria's Minister of Labor Emilia Müller took the opportunity to attend this event and paid tribute to the award winners in her welcoming speech:

"On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of best concept, I'm particularly pleased that more female founders than ever before have participated in the competition. This shows how much potential women have. The best project ideas are being recognized today because Bavaria isn't abandoning women's creativity. To remain competitive in the long term and ensure economic growth, we need the fresh impetus and good business ideas of female entrepreneurs."

68 female founders from the Munich area took part in the best concept 2016 competition.

The first prize went to the business economist Dörte Kaschub for her concept of a climbing forest with an adventure tower. She is planning a climbing course with artificial obstacles in a forest area north of Munich.

The second prize went to the geographer Birgit Lievenbrück She is the founder of Küchenschätze, a company that revives traditional baked goods and pretzels.

The biologist was delighted with third place Dr. Kerstin Minnich, which offers scientific editing and further training for scientific writing with a biological and medical focus.

Places 4 to 8 went to Dr. Hannah Büttner (Integrative Dialogues), Katharina Müller and team (MachWerk Academy for Workshop Pedagogy), Sylvia Naujoks (apfelkerne.com), Corinna Herrmann (Art Director), and Heike Zeitler (Supperb!).

High-quality concepts

The award winners received startup-related prizes such as the design of a personalized logo, business portraits, and consulting vouchers. The jury consisted of more than 20 startup experts and consultants. Three teams were among the 68 participating female founders.
