The pitch to investors and potential cooperation partners is a crucial moment for scientists and startups who want to establish a company. Be it at venture capital events or face-to-face meetings at conferences, there is only 2 to 8 minutes to convince people with your business idea.
But how do you use these valuable minutes effectively? What does an investor actually want to know? How do you structure such a short presentation? What can and must be included, and what should be avoided at all costs? How do you communicate more consciously to optimally sell your idea?
Answers to these questions can be found in the bioM-Workshop on 12 October 2016 at BioM in Martinsried.
In the first part of the event, participants will learn the basic structure of a pitch, receive fundamentals and tips for a convincing short presentation, and learn what questions to expect. This information will be directly applied in the second part of the workshop, in which participants will work in groups to develop a pitch and present it to the speakers. Participants can choose whether to pitch their own business idea or a fictitious case study. Participants will receive direct feedback on their pitch from the experts.
The workshop will be led by experienced experts Bodo Maxeiner from Maxeiner & Cie. GmbH, Alfred Wieder and Dr. Helga Grupe from Grupe Impuls.
The training is designed for startups and scientists from the life sciences industry who are looking for suitable industry partners, as well as for scientists who would like to participate in 1-2-1 partnering for the first time.
To ensure a sustainable learning experience, the number of participants is limited to 15. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration deadline: October 7, 2016
