Digitalization, as a megatrend of our time, has enormous impacts on almost all areas of life. The development of information technologies has also made inroads into medicine, opening up a multitude of innovative care processes, treatment pathways, and services that benefit patients, service providers, and the entire healthcare system. Digital Health at the Center of the Congress “Medicine Innovative – MedTech Summit 2016”From the use of innovative technologies in hospitals to new possibilities for information exchange and networking to mobile applications through wearables, both the opportunities and challenges of digitalization in medicine will be explored in exciting presentations and discussions. Another focus of the two-day event will be the path from idea to marketable medical device. Participants, especially young companies and startups, will receive valuable information on the topics of innovation, financing, regulation, and commercialization.
