Hololight secures 10 million euros

The XR startup Hololight has received €10 million in growth capital. The company plans to use the fresh funding to scale its pixel streaming technology globally and expand its market leadership in the AR/VR space.

The Deeptech startup Munich-based Hololight has closed a €10 million financing round led by European growth fund Cipio Partners. In addition to the new lead investor, existing investors Bayern Kapital, Direttissima Growth Partners, EnBW New Ventures, and Future Energy Ventures are also participating.

Hololight develops XR pixel streaming technology that enables the use of augmented and virtual reality applications regardless of the device. The technology enables wireless streaming of AR/VR applications directly from central servers – either from the cloud or on-premises – while maintaining performance and data security.

CEO and co-founder Florian Haspinger emphasizes:

"Our goal is to make every AR/VR application available wirelessly – as easy and accessible as Netflix streams movies. With the further development of our core technology and new products, we are strengthening our pioneering role and collaboration with partners such as NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Snap, Meta, and others. We are convinced that XR pixel streaming will become the global standard for AR/VR use – and will soon be as commonplace as video streaming is today."

New technology for easier integration

With Hololight Stream Runtime The company is launching an innovation that is designed to make it easier for many companies to get started with AR/VR. The solution allows streaming of any OpenXR-compatible app without any additional development effort.

"Hololight's unique XR pixel streaming technology opens up the broad application of AR/VR in industry and, in the future, also for consumers. With this investment, Hololight can not only further scale its existing business but also market its latest innovation, Hololight Stream Runtime, worldwide."

explained Ansgar Kirchheim, Partner at Cipio Partners.

The company currently has over 150 international customers and partners – including major OEMs and technology companies. Hololight aims to further expand its position in the global XR market and sees itself as a technological pioneer.

"Our vision is clear: Anyone who wants to successfully use AR/VR needs XR pixel streaming. This is the only way to integrate applications flexibly, securely, and scalably into companies. We are ready to take AR/VR to the next level,"

so Haspinger.
