With the award The City of Munich honors female entrepreneurs and managers who have made a lasting contribution to the success of the business location with LaMonachia. On July 21, 2025, three award winners will be honored for the fifth time. They will be in the spotlight as role models and inspirational figures at a celebratory awards ceremony.
The name LaMonachia refers to the allegory of female Munich, depicted in two large paintings in Munich City Hall. The prize symbolizes a lioness, embodying strength, composure, teamwork, and authority.
A jury from business and politics selects the award winners. Criteria include economic success, innovation, and commitment. The winners receive prize money of 3,000 euros and a piece of jewelry designed by the artist Carina Shoshtary. They also join the network of previous award winners. These include Christina Ramgraber, founder and managing director of Sira, Günes Seyfarth, owner of the Community Kitchen, and Delia Lachance, founder of Westwing,

- Candidates are entrepreneurs or managers in top management positions.
- The company has been on the market for at least three years.
- The company has its headquarters in the Munich area.
